Our Roots. Our Legacy.
Our Innovation Engine.
Born from the distinguished academic legacy of K.K. Wagh (est. 1984) and forged through national mentorship with IIT Bombay's E-Cell, KKWIEER E-Cell is North Maharashtra's epicenter for student entrepreneurs, deep-tech innovators, and venture creators.
Built on 40+ Years of Academic Excellence at KKWIEER
Karmaveer Kakasaheb Wagh Institute of Engineering Education & Research (KKWIEER) was established in 1984 in Nashik under the visionary guidance of the K.K. Wagh Education Society, pioneered by the esteemed freedom fighter and social reformer Padmashree Karmaveer Kakasaheb Wagh.
As an Autonomous Engineering Institute affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and accredited with an 'A' Grade by NAAC, KKWIEER has nurtured generations of engineers, scientists, and industry leaders.
However, engineering education in the modern world is incomplete without entrepreneurial agency. The E-Cell was founded to ensure students don't just graduate with engineering degrees—they graduate with the mindset, audacity, and capability to build sustainable ventures.

E-CELL IIT BOMBAY INITIATIVENational Entrepreneurship Challenge (NEC)
The catalyst that transformed our student cell into a high-caliber innovation forum operating under national startup benchmarks.
Forged in Collaboration With E-Cell IIT Bombay
In 2017, a group of determined students and faculty champions entered the National Entrepreneurship Challenge (NEC), hosted annually by The Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Bombay—Asia’s largest student-run entrepreneurship body.
Competing against hundreds of colleges across India, KKWIEER E-Cell executed rigorous task tracks: conducting institutional startup audits, hosting founder roundtables, launching seed pitching events, and structuring policy frameworks.
The experience forged our official charter. We adopted premier venture validation standards, design-thinking frameworks, and established direct pipelines to industry investors and startup incubators. Today, we bring that same national-standard rigor directly to every student at KKWIEER.
E-Cell K. K. Wagh & F.U.E.P. — The Idea Behind The Idea
At E-Cell K.K. Wagh, our foundational ethos is rooted in empowering real builders. We provide the ecosystem, mentorship, and platform to transform engineering curiosity into market-defining enterprises.
Our primary mission is realized through F.U.E.P. — FORUM FOR UNDISCOVERED ENTERPRENEUR'S. We believe ground-breaking ideas aren’t confined to elite metropolitan enclaves. They exist in our engineering workshops, coding labs, electrical switchgear benches, and late-night campus hack sessions.
E-Cell unearths that raw potential, pairs it with structured venture governance, provides prototyping grants, and shields student founders with 100% intellectual property ownership.
